British Champ’ Chapman Battles for more than just Belt
(London Oct, 17th) Coalition Fight Music announced today UK1-MMA Light Heavyweight Champion Nick “HeadHunter” Chapman has signed on to be an Official spokesman for the groups International “Man Up” Campaign against Human Trafficking.
Chapman joins a growing list of high-profile celebrity fighters and sports personalities coming together to combat modern day slavery (more commonly known as “trafficking”) occurring in the US and domestically in the UK.
Facing the biggest fight of his career at this weekend’s CageRage UK 24 against the undefeated “Poster Boy” Jimi Manuwa (in what’s widely expected to be The UK’s fight of the year), the Guildford favorite has reportedly agreed to raise awareness with various media outlets and participate in actual “rescue missions” of trafficked minors and persons in tandem with local law enforcement and authorities around the globe.
Nick say’s: “I think it’s outrageous how people in today’s modern society are still being treated in this way. I feel honoured to be a part of this movement and will do as much as I can to help victims of trafficking.”
Tony Savo (CFM CEO) say’s: “Nick is the ideal candidate to represent our campaign, tough as nails with a real heart for those affected by this heinous crime. Were very fortunate and excited to have his support.”
The United Kingdom is a destination and, to a lesser extent, transit country for women, children, and men trafficked for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation and forced labor. Some victims, including minors from the UK, are also trafficked within the country.
Known by legions of loyal fight fans as “HeadHunter” a ferocious and fearless brawler on fight night, Chapman is by contrast quite the savvy gentleman and community leader outside the cage. One of the most distinguished and respected ambassador’s of the sport, Nick focus’s a great deal of his time investing in the next generation and mentoring “at risk” youth.British Champ’ Chapman Battles for more than just Belt,
